12th HALAL AND TAYYIB PRODUCTS CONFERENCE COULD BE FOLLOWED ONLINE IN OCTOBER 2020

GİMDES President Dr. Hüseyin Kami BÜYÜKÖZER has announced that the 12th Halal and Tayyib Products Conference will be held online on 3-4 October 2020.

Underlining the Covid-19 epidemic, which started at the end of 2019 and spread all over the world, Büyüközer pointed out that many institutions have started to organize their training and other meetings remotely on the online platforms.

We should take lessons from calamities

Reminding the 155th verse of the Surah Baccarat, the President of GIMDES, Dr. Hüseyin Kami Büyüközer said “We read many calamities happened to various societies in history by a Hikmah (حكمة) in our Holy Qur’an. The important thing is to take lessons from these calamities and shape ourselves up.”

The decision related with the Covid-19

Highlighting that “Allah (SWT) makes his own servants, who have been living calmly in His own property, live in fear and anxiety”, Büyüközer continued “Could this be anything but a global calamity? Our founding purpose of Halalifying our morsels, whose importance is understood better nowadays, has been continuing for 15 years without interruption. Being under such a condition, we have to organize our Halal Expo and Halal Food Conference online and without a physical location”.

Our Conference Could be Followed Online

Following the tireless efforts of the team tasked with organizing the online conference, GIMDES management has decided to allow 14 speakers from 12 different regions as Turkey, Australia, Algeria, Indonesia, South Africa, Britain, Kuwait, Malaysia, Singapore, Tunisia, and the United States. Speakers will deliver their speeches in 40 minutes and total conference time will be 6 hours.

We have to work harder

Due to growing demand, varieties and production quantities of Halal and Tayyib products have been also increasing and the conventional production methods remain inadequate in confronting the problems in production, especially in Halal production where Islamic principles are necessary to be followed. This issue brings new problems for Muslims. 2020 shows us that the new world order is beyond the physical borders and changes will take place suddenly. Worldwide epidemic coronavirus has proven once again the necessity of obeying divine orders and following the Halal and Tayyib life-style.
