Making statements regarding the 10th anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt, GİMDES President Dr. Hüseyin Kami BÜYÜKÖZER said, “We have not forgotten July 15th, we will never forget it.”
Dr. Hüseyin Kami BÜYÜKÖZER, President of the Association for the Inspection and Certification of Food and Supplies (GİMDES), made a written statement regarding the 10th anniversary of the July 15 coup attempt. Starting his statements by including verses from the Holy Quran, BÜYÜKÖZER said, “They plotted, and Allah also planned. And Allah is the best of planners. Our nation buried the coup and the coup plotters, which were dangled like a dagger over our country, deep into the ground on the night of July 15, never to rise again. Even though ten years have passed, we have certainly not forgotten the planners of the coup attempt, their so-called soldiers, and their extras from that day on, and we will not forget them. As a nation, we have made efforts to prevent such a movement from occurring again. We will continue to do so.”
“They tried to destroy the nation with the nation’s own weapons”
BÜYÜKÖZER continued his statements with the following expressions: “Our Türkiye experienced a terrible nightmare on July 15. People carrying the identity card of the Republic of Türkiye, assigned by the state itself, tried to destroy an entire nation using the weapons of the nation, the planes of the nation, the helicopters of the nation, and the tanks of the nation, which they usurped from the state institutions where they were located. But Allah did not give them this opportunity. The bomb of treason, which they had prepared down to the finest detail, exploded in their own hands. Today, we once again condemn those who carried out a treacherous coup attempt against the homeland, the nation, and the state under the command of external hostile forces. We congratulate our nation, which stood with an epic resistance against the attacks, tricks, and traps of the FETÖ terrorist organization, and our heroes who stood by the nation. We remember those who took part in this honorable struggle with gratitude. We wish Allah’s mercy upon our martyrs and health and well-being to our veterans.”
“The FETÖ gang is a treacherous and thieving gang”
“Having thwarted the treacherous July 15 coup attempt with all its resources, Türkiye has become even stronger today and has become a hope for all the oppressed in the world. ‘July 15’, which is a symbol of our nation’s rebirth, is the anniversary of both our national unity and solidarity and our national resurrection. We are realizing the tenth anniversary of this magnificent day. For brighter days, we must pass on the spirit of July 15 to future generations in unity and solidarity.
We must not abandon justice
We must be careful in the fight against ‘FETÖ-ism’, which targets our faith, unity, solidarity, peace, and brotherhood. FETÖ-ism is a template. We must know this template well. Whomever this template fits, we will call them a ‘FETÖist’. This template is to see lies, plunder, slander, and everything as legitimate to reach one’s goal. It is to detect people’s faults and use them as blackmail, and to steal exam questions. It is to act unlike what one believes, and to resort to any means to reach a position one does not deserve. It is being able to sell one’s honor, nation, and homeland for a despicable cause. What state the FETÖists put Türkiye in has been seen by everyone for ten years. If we do not make a good accounting of all these processes and take July 15 lightly, we cannot prevent similar attempts. On the grounds that we must take July 15 seriously; we must also not abandon justice so that the rightful and the wrongful, the oppressor and the oppressed are not put in the same scale.”
