GIMDES, the World Halal Foundation, and the World Halal Markets Association are participating in the Civil Society Organizations Festival, which will be held at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. We welcome the participation of GIMDES volunteers at the festival, which will feature workshops, seminars, and prize draws.
University students attending the festival will have fun, raise awareness about halal issues, browse books and magazines published by GIMDES, and have the opportunity to participate in workshops, seminars, and prize draws.

Workshops and Seminars
During the festival, you can learn about halal and Tayyib lifestyles and GIMDES’s upcoming activities at the GIMDES stand, and participate in books, magazines, seminars, and workshops published by GIMDES.
Hand Cream Workshop
GIMDES Chief Inspector Abdulhamit Aksel will explain the critical control points for halal and Tayyib cosmetic products and teach students how to make hand cream.
Soap Workshop
GIMDES Chief Inspector Abdulhamit Aksel will teach students how to make soap.
Medicinal and Aromatic Oils and Teas Workshop
GIMDES Chief Inspector Füsun MENTEŞ will provide information about medicinal and aromatic oils and teas, explaining the critical control points in the production of these products. She will provide a hands-on demonstration of proper tea brewing methods, and the teas will be tasted by guests.

Halal Food and Boycott
GIMDES Secretary General Hayreddin İşbilir will provide information on Halal and Tayyib certification and will explain the importance of boycotting Israeli products against the oppression in Palestine and GIMDES’s sensitivity to this issue.
