First of all, I pray to Allah (SWT) that the blessed month of Ramadan brings mercy, blessings, peace, and love to you and our entire Ummah, and that our prayers are accepted during this month of mercy.
There are only a few days left until the 17th of Ramadan, World Halal Day, which we initiated in 2013 under the leadership of WHC and which we will observe for the 14th time this year together with all Muslims of the world.
Last year, GIMDES, DHV, DHM, HDM Union, WHC Management, Men’s and Women’s Boards, primarily in ISTANBUL CENTER, SYRIA, GAZA, PALESTINE, as well as in BOLU, BURSA, KUTAHYA, ELAZIG, ISTANBUL/ATAŞEHİR, KOCAELI, KASTAMONU, EDİRNE, ANKARA, MALATYA, KAHRAMANMARAŞ, TRABZON, NEVŞEHİR, BİLECİK, and many other countries outside of Türkiye , celebrated the 17th of Ramadan World Halal Day by setting up various iftar tables, giving speeches explaining the importance of the day, distributing our books and brochures, giving gifts to our brothers and sisters who participated, and visiting our sister organizations.
As we do every year, we will be holding various events for this day this year as well, insha’Allah. With your support, last Ramadan we reached tens of thousands of needy brothers and sisters in Türkiye’s earthquake zone, as well as in Gaza, Palestine, and Syria. We brought joy to 5000 people by setting up iftar tables with 1000 Ramadan food packages. This year, relying first on Allah and then on your support, we will begin reaching out to our Muslim brothers and sisters in need in the same places. We look forward to your continued warm support.
On March 17th, the 17th of Ramadan, we will also celebrate World Halal Day. The first verse on the subject of halal, verse 69 of Surah Al-Anfal, was revealed on the 17th day of Ramadan in 624 AH, during the Battle of Badr, the first battle between Islam and disbelief.
“Now enjoy what you have taken, for it is lawful and good. And be mindful of Allah. Surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” (Al-Anfal, 69)
Halal is more than just a matter commanded by religion to Muslims; it is a prescription for life offered by the Creator to His creations for the well-being of all humanity.
Everyone striving to live according to Islam should support this initiative, which raises further awareness about halal food, and more importantly, pay attention to this issue in their own lives.
Ask yourself this question: “When was the last time I asked myself whether the food I was eating contained any haram ingredients?”
Because “A time will come when mankind will not care whether what they consume is halal or haram. The prayers of such people will not be accepted.” Because “What importance do you have without your prayers?” Muslims and all of humanity need your prayers.

For Gaza Iftar, for Palestine Iftar, for Damascus Iftar, for Aleppo Iftar, for the Earthquake Region Iftar, for Daru’l Helal Madrasah Iftar, for GIMDES Center Iftar, for DHV Center Iftar, for Ankara Iftar. Our Iftar programs will cover the 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th of Ramadan. Payments must be transferred to the account no later than the 12th of Ramadan. Participation in the Iftar program is 250 TL per person. The amount of support participation is optional.
