GIMDES, which first launched its Halal and Tayyib fair activities in Turkey in 2009 and has held nine fairs to date, has been facing ongoing pressures every year since 2016 to engage with Halal and Tayyib Certified companies, along with those who shamelessly mislead our Muslim brothers and sisters with lustful advertisements and the names of certain government institutions, driven purely by the desire to make money. Furthermore, they resort to the lie that GIMDES is also participating to deceive our sincere companies.
Be aware that this propaganda is a complete lie. GIMDES shares this lie with you every year. This year, they organized the international “HALAL LIFE EVENTS Festival” in collaboration with the BaÄŸcılar Municipality. We will be attending the NGO FEST Festival, organized by UNIW and TGTV, at the Ä°stanbul Sabahattin Zaim University Campus on October 22nd and 23rd.
According to information provided by our representative who recently attended meetings in Far Eastern countries, the MIHAS fair is not as it was in previous years. Ten years ago, it was the only specialized fair in this field, and finding a place to attend was practically impossible. Now, the situation has changed. Every year, we see a decrease in interest and fewer companies participating. One reason for this is the deterioration of the sincerity surrounding halal and tayyib criteria.
