Eyewitnesses reported that israeli forces in the area heavily shelled homes and tents in areas designated as safe zones for Palestinians under the ceasefire agreement.

It was also reported that an israeli armed drone attacked a communications tower on top of a building in Gaza that also housed press offices.

During the two-year period of genocide that began after October 7, 2023, the israeli army systematically targeted communication networks in Gaza to cut off the country’s connection with the outside world and hinder press activities.
