MAY OUR SAD FRIDAY BE BLESSED
Dr. Hüseyin Kami BÜYÜKÖZER
As-Salamu alaykum. My brothers and sisters. We are observing a sad Friday. May our day be blessed and fruitful, insha’Allah. May Allah (swt) make our work blessed, fruitful, accident-free, healthy, and easy, and may He grant healing to our sick, insha’Allah.
We strongly condemn the massacres and oppression that the treacherous, oppressive Israel and its infidel supporters have inflicted on our oppressed and victimized Palestinian brothers and sisters for 713 days, right next to our country, and we complain to You, my Lord. Have mercy on the martyrs of these brothers and sisters and heal the wounded. As the believer says, when his brother is in trouble, he mobilizes all his resources for help, strengthen and deliver our helping hand.
“Our Lord! Grant us mercy from Yourself and guide us rightly through our ordeal.” (Al-Kahf 10)
“We will certainly test you with a touch of fear and famine and loss of property, life, and crops. Give good news to those who patiently endurewho say, when struck by a disaster, “Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.” (Surah al-Baqarah, 155-156)
“O Allah! Forgive our country, our nation, and the Ummah of Muhammad from all calamities, protect us from the oppression of the oppressors, and all evil. Our Lord! Have mercy on us, grant tranquility to the heavens and the earth, and protect us from calamities in this world and in the heavens. Do not destroy us. Accept our repentance. May Allah Almighty be our friend and helper.
