Three Palestinians were killed in attacks launched by the Israeli army in the Gaza Strip despite the ceasefire agreement.
According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, the southern city of Khan Younis was shaken by israeli army shelling, while Gaza itself was also subjected to fire from Israeli assault boats off the coast.
On October 9, negotiations in Egypt announced that israel and Hamas had approved the first phase of the Gaza ceasefire plan. The agreement was signed in Egypt, where the negotiations were held, and came into effect on October 10 with the approval of the israeli government.
After the israeli army withdrew from the “Yellow Line” as stipulated in the agreement, the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip was announced to have come into effect the same day.
However, despite the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the israeli army continues to launch sporadic attacks against Palestinians, citing various allegations.
