MAY OUR LAILAT AL-MIRAJ BE A BLESSING IN DISGUISE WITH THE PERMISSION OF OUR LORD…

May our blessed lailat al-Miraj be a khayr and peace…

For the sake of our blessed night and Friday, may Allah (SWT) protect our homeland, our nation and the Ummah of Muhammad from all kinds of disasters and calamities. May our Lord not deprive us of his mercy, mercy and grace and grant us a halal and tayyib lifestyle.

“Glory be to the One Who took His servant ˹Muḥammad˺ by night from the Sacred Mosque to the Farthest Mosque whose surroundings We have blessed, so that We may show him some of Our signs.1 Indeed, He2 alone is the All-Hearing, All-Seeing.” (Surah Al-Isra Ayat 1)

The second stage of ascension is starting from Masjid al-Aqsa and passing through all the layers of the sky and reaching the Divine Presence. At this stage, it is explained in Surah Al-Necm as follows:

“While on the highest point above the horizon, then he approached ˹the Prophet˺, coming so close, that he was only two arms-lengths away or even less. Then Allah revealed to His servant what He revealed ˹through Gabriel˺. The ˹Prophet’s˺ heart did not doubt what he saw. How can you ˹O pagans˺ then dispute with him regarding what he saw? And he certainly saw that ˹angel descend˺ a second time at the Lote Tree of the most extreme limit ˹in the seventh heaven˺ near which is the Garden of ˹Eternal˺ Residence while the Lote Tree was overwhelmed with ˹heavenly˺ splendours! The ˹Prophet’s˺ sight never wandered, nor did it overreach. He certainly saw some of his Lord’s greatest signs.” (Surah Al-Najm, Ayat 7-18)

˹They say,˺ “Our Lord! Do not let our hearts deviate after you have guided us. Grant us Your mercy. You are indeed the Giver ˹of all bounties˺. (Surah Ali ‘Imran, Ayat-8)

We wish this auspicious night to be forgiven for all of our sins, peace for our hearts, healing for our patients, a cure for our troubled people, repayment of debts for our debtors, and the salvation of the entire Islamic Ummah. We pray Janab al Haqq’s mercy to our brothers who lost their lives in this tragic earthquake, and Sabr al-Jameel to their relatives and our nation. May Allah (SWT) grant a speedy recovery to our injured brothers and sisters. We pray to our Lord that such a disaster will not occur again.

In the hope of being aware of the drops of mercy that the angels will leave on our palms…

“Their call therein will be, “Exalted are You, O Allah,” and their greeting therein will be, “Peace.” And the last of their call will be: Al-Hamdu Lillahi Rabbil-‘Alamin “Praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds!” (Surah Yunus, Ayat 10)

“O Allah, show mercy and peace to our Master Muhammad (pbuh), His Family, Companions and brothers, which will be pleasing to You and due to Him. Make us and our religion safe. O Lord of the worlds! Accept our prayers…”
