STK-FEST PROGRAM
GIMDES Workshops and Seminars at the STK Festival
This year, instead of a fair, we decided to adopt a FESTIVAL (historically known as a FAIR) concept, encompassing a wide range of events. Following the Halal Lifestyle Events Festival we organized in August, we decided to participate in STKFest 2025, organized this month by the Turkish Voluntary Organizations Foundation (TGTV) and the Union of Civil Society Organizations of the Islamic World (UNIW), hosted by Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University.
University students attending the festival will have fun, raise awareness about halal issues, and have the opportunity to shop for books and limited-edition pencil case sets from GIMDES publications.

During the festival, you can learn about the halal and Tayyib lifestyle and GIMDES’s upcoming activities at the GIMDES stand. You can purchase books, magazines, and specially produced pencil case sets from GIMDES publications, and participate in seminars and workshops.

Opening Speech
GIMDES President Dr. Hüseyin Kami Büyüközer will discuss the importance of the Halal and Tayyib Lifestyle and his experiences in this regard.
GIMDES Chief Auditor Mr. Timuçin GÜNESEN will provide information on Halal and Tayyib Certification.
GIMDES Chief Auditor and Scientific Committee Member Mr. Abdülhamid Aksel will explain the Halal and Tayyib critical control points in cosmetic products and teach students how to make hand cream. The hand cream will be distributed to participants at the end of the workshop.
GIMDES Former Chief Auditor Ms. Füsun Menteş will provide information about medicinal and aromatic oils and teas, explaining the critical control points in the production of these products. He will provide a hands-on demonstration of proper tea brewing methods, and the teas will be offered to guests to sample.
Seminars
– Mr. Mustafa MERAL, a member of the GIMDES Fiqh Board, will discuss the importance of halal and Tayyib nutrition and the Muslim stance against haram and questionable foods.
– Mr. Elman NECEFZADE, What is Daru’l Halal Madrasa?

– Mr. Hayreddin Ä°ÅžBÄ°LÄ°R, will discuss the importance of boycotting israeli products against the oppression in Palestine and GIMDES’s sensitivity to this issue.
– Mr. Ali Rıza KURUM, a member of the GIMDES Scientific Board, R&D coordinator, will discuss the issue of Halal in the Medical Sector.
– Mr. Mehmet BAYAR, a member of the Scientific Board, Chief Auditor, will discuss the importance of Halal Slaughter.
