MAY THE FIRST FRIDAY OF OUR BLESSED MONTH OF RAMADAN BRING BLESSINGS

Dr. Hüseyin Kâmi BÜYÜKÖZER

Peace be upon you, my esteemed brothers and sisters. We are observing another Friday. May it be blessed and fruitful, insha’Allah. Instead of falling into heedlessness during these days, may our Lord grant us the ability to work diligently, following the truth that “a working iron does not rust,” and maintaining our work discipline. Let us continue to stay in communication.

“Surely those who say, “Our Lord is Allah,” and then remain steadfast—there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.” (Surah Al-Ahqaf, Ayat 13)

O our Lord! Do not destroy us because of the deeds of those among us who have fallen into heedlessness.

Do not leave us without You, even though our repentance needs repentance; treat us with Your boundless mercy…

You are the Forgiver, You love to forgive, my Lord. If You do not forgive us, who will?

For the sake of Your innocent servants among us, do not send calamities upon us. Remove Your calamities from us.

We have become spoiled, forgive us. Do not leave us without You, without prostration, without the call to prayer, without mosques, without congregations, without a flag, and without a homeland, O Allah.

You are our Lord, the greatest estrangement is distance from You. We seek refuge in You from Your absence.

O LORD, we have no other door to go to but Yours…

Grant us the ability to appreciate the value of our Fridays, to be a sincere community, and to love each other selflessly, solely for Your pleasure…

O LORD! BLESS OUR FRIDAYS! Ameen… Ameen… Ameen…”

“˹Remember˺ when those youths took refuge in the cave, and said, “Our Lord! Grant us mercy from Yourself and guide us rightly through our ordeal.” (Surah Al-Kahf, Ayat 10)

Let us strive to spend our days in much prayer and seeking forgiveness. Our Prophet (peace be upon him) said in a prayer: “O Allah! Make us love faith, adorn our hearts with faith. Do not make us love disbelief, disobedience, and rebellion; make them hateful to us, and make us among those who find the right path.” O Lord, keep us away from all kinds of forbidden and doubtful things throughout our lives, grant us to live with Your lawful and pure blessings, and grant healing to our sick and our illnesses, and grant this to the entire Ummah.”
