Dr. Hüseyin Kâmi Büyüközer, Founding President of GİMDES and the World Halal Council, continues to be remembered with prayers and gratitude across the Islamic world following his passing. Our Muslim brothers and sisters gathered in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, to recite Khatams of the Holy Qur’an, offer prayers, and serve meals to hundreds of people in memory of our late Teacher.
A well-attended commemoration program was organized at the Baitun Nur Masterbari Jame Masjid in Bororchar, West Kushtiapara, located in Bangladesh’s Momenşahi region, for Dr. Hüseyin Kâmi Büyüközer, who dedicated his life to the cause of “Halal and Tayyib,” spreading awareness of halal food among the Ummah, and serving Islam.

During the event, his extraordinary services to the Ummah, his tireless efforts, and his noble cause were highlighted. Following the evening prayer (Maghrib), a gathering for remembrance and prayer took place, during which Khatams were completed, passages from the Holy Qur’an were recited, and Al-Fatihah was gifted to his soul. Following the religious discourse and prayers, food was served to over 200 brothers and students of Islamic knowledge.

“Our Bridge of Hearts Will Continue Every 6 Months and On Every Anniversary”
It was emphasized that these gatherings of loyalty across our heartland will not be a one-time event. Our Bangladeshi brothers and sisters expressed that they will traditionally continue to honor the cherished memory and services of our late Teacher Dr. Hüseyin Kâmi Büyüközer by reciting Khatams for his soul every 6 months and on every anniversary of his passing.

May Almighty Allah accept the completed Khatams, prayers, and meals served, and grant our late Teacher Dr. Hüseyin Kâmi Büyüközer the highest rank in Jannat al-Firdaus. Amin.
