Pro-Palestinian protests that started in New York, USA, spread to the country’s prestigious universities. While university administrations and students confronted each other, hundreds of students were detained.

Students and police confronted each other at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. It was reported that the police intervened in the students camping.

More than 200 students were detained at Emory University, as well as at Emerson College in Boston, the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, and the University of Texas at Austin.

Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, whose daughter was among the demonstrators arrested last week, joined protesters at Columbia University.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also made a statement about the protests and argued that an anti-Semitic wave was on the rise and that action was needed.
