Dr. Hüseyin Kâmi BÜYÜKÖZER
Mr. Issa Traoré, Chief Auditor of the Ivory Coast Halal Certification AGENCY, accompanied by a two-person delegation, visited GIMDES and made important assessments regarding strengthening inter-institutional cooperation. During the visit, it was stated that GIMDES’s international recognition has brought great prestige to their institution both nationally and among halal-conscious individuals. Traoré expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration with GIMDES and expressed his desire to further develop this collaboration.
Traoré and his delegation also expressed their request for training programs in areas their institution needs. GIMDES President Dr. Hüseyin Kami Büyüközer stated that they would be happy to provide all necessary training and stated that they are always ready to do so.
During the meeting, the possibility of implementing the Halal Dunya Markets model as a prototype in Ivory Coast was also discussed. Dr. Büyüközer emphasized the great importance of this model for Muslims in the region and stated that the project should be launched as a start-up.
The visit concluded with a mutual agreement to continue cooperation between the two institutions, followed by prayers, gift exchanges, and well-wishes.
