A delegation from China visited GIMDES last week.
The delegation headed by Li Qing, President of Chamber of Commerce of Ningshia Province of China visited GIMDES on 7 May to learn basics of Halal certification of GIMDES .
Ningshia Province in China is one of the cities where Muslims have bigger population. For this reason, both exports of Halal products from Ningshia and also import of Halal products for Muslims’s consumption is really important. Dr. Buyukozer, President of GIMDES, shared its experience and knowledge on Halal certification with the delegation.
Business people from the Ningshia delegation were interested to purchase honey, meat and corn products and they have agreed to look for GIMDES Halal certified products when they buy from Turkey. The delegation also decided to consider attending the Istanbul Halal Expo which will be held between 4-7 September 2014 in Istanbul.
