Dr. Hüseyin Kâmi BÜYÜKÖZER
GIMDES, in line with its goal of strengthening international academic collaborations, paid return visits to the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University and Almaty University of Technology in Kazakhstan.
The visits were conducted on behalf of GIMDES by Mehmet Bayar (Food Engineer, Chief Auditor, and Member of the Technical Scientific Board). As part of the program, the academic units and laboratory infrastructures of both universities were examined on-site; and assessments were made regarding scientific studies conducted in the fields of halal food and food safety.
During the meetings held at the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, comprehensive discussions were held with Ospanov Abdymanap (Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences) and Timurbekova Aigul (Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences) on increasing awareness of halal food, supporting academic studies, and opportunities for scientific cooperation.
During the meetings held at Almaty University of Technology, discussions were held with Aliyev Bakhodir (Vice Rector for Science and Innovation) and Iztaev Auelbek (Director of PT Research Institute, Academician, Professor, Doctor of Technical Sciences); joint projects and academic collaborations that can be carried out within the framework of halal and tayyib principles were evaluated.
In the meetings held, mutual understanding and common agreement were reached on the following issues:
* Disseminating awareness of halal food and halal living at the academic level
* Supporting laboratory-based scientific research
* Developing opportunities for sustainable cooperation through training, seminars, and joint projects
As GİMDES, we respectfully announce to the public that we will continue our cooperation with academic institutions with determination to strengthen the understanding of halal and tayyib production with scientific foundations, to bring together academic knowledge and field experience, and to spread halal awareness on an international scale.
