Let us cling to the rope of Allah (SWT) against the perversions of the modern world: “O believers! Take neither Jews nor Christians as guardians—they are guardians of each other.1 Whoever does so will be counted as one of them. Surely Allah does not guide the wrongdoing people.” (Al-Maidah, 51)
Fifty years ago, a flare was launched from the skies of our country, and its hum spread gradually throughout the world. What were the messages in this flare? Professor Dr. Necmettin Erbakan, our esteemed teacher, shouted in the Grand National Assembly:
O Islamic Ummah, an Islamic United Nations Organization must be established against the existing UN!
An Islamic Common Market must be established among Islamic countries as soon as possible!
Islamic countries must introduce the Islamic Dinar as their currency for trade among themselves!
A Muslim Countries Defense Cooperation Organization must be established against NATO!
A Muslim Countries Cultural Cooperation Organization must be established against UNESCO!
For a long time, we closed our ears to these wise calls, and undoubtedly, as the Islamic Ummah, under the intense influence of Western powers’ manipulation of perceptions, we denigrated our own way of life. By surrendering to their various forms of indoctrination and propaganda, we adopted their way of life to the core and made grave mistakes. Our entire daily life, from our eating and drinking habits to our inner and outer lives, came under the control of these forces. After mixing halal and haram, we lost the unity and Islamic brotherhood commanded by Allah. We prioritized belonging to sects, schools of thought, races, and geographies over belonging to Islam. We declared those who were different from us as infidels. We mistook fighting our brothers whom we declared infidels for jihad. All of this caused Allah’s grace and mercy to be withdrawn from the Ummah.
The imperialist and materialistic West is collapsing day by day. As it collapses, it attacks its surroundings with a sadistic urge to inflict even more harm. During a period when I was in Europe between 1981-1984, I published an article in the magazine HİCRET, which my Lord enabled me to publish, titled “CAN’T AN ISLAMIC STATE BE ESTABLISHED IN EUROPE?” In an article I wrote with that title, I said the following:
“Especially today, Europeans living in our countries are spiritually bankrupt, being dragged day by day into destitution and hopelessness under the influence of the Jewish influence and the storms of immorality. Mothers have lost their love for their children, the bonds of mutual loyalty in families have dissolved, and parents have been driven into loneliness. While alcohol consumption is rapidly increasing in Europe, hospitals, prisons, and mental institutions are overflowing with the insane, the sick, the disabled, and the criminals left behind by alcohol. The fact that there are 2 million alcoholics in Germany alone is alarming. Furthermore, the number of illegitimate children is rapidly increasing in Europe. Sexual deviance has almost become legitimate. The Christian churches, to which Europeans are spiritually bound, are unable to offer any solution to this negative and immoral trend. They still cannot take any serious steps to lead them to the right path beyond exploiting the corrupted Bible. The churches are practically empty. Some churches are even forced to close because no one attends. The church has become merely a tool for the exploitation of politicians who only appear at official ceremonies. Behind the scenes, the Jewish influence is using all its power to control the church.” They are trying to control it. Newly distorted Bibles are being released, and brochures handed out by mercenaries of the Jewish organization called Jehovah’s Witnesses at every corner are leading people astray into new heresies.
“O Christians, the last of your dead will be buried by Muslims.” (Der Spiegel, 1980s). This was the cover headline of Der Spiegel, which also interviewed us in those years.
Who are those that hold this only solid rope firmly? They are the Muslims, who are the true followers of Islam. Today, Europeans fear Muslims and Islam.
The Muslims, who went to Vienna centuries ago by horse, even by walking, could not put Europe under the command of Islam, but their descendants may have seized this opportunity today. They have started to leave their mark on Europe for 60 years by coming and settling here by the invitation of the Europeans. In modern buildings that have been built for 60 years, in factories and machines, underground infrastructures, Muslims have the stamp of their rights and sweat that nobody can erase or usurp. It might be easy to bring all those Muslims to Europe, but, it will not be that easy to send them back. Muslims have only recently begun to recover and establish an Islamic infrastructure in Europe.
Today, newspapers and TV channels have to talk about Islam even if they don’t want it. Some of the intelligent European intellectuals could not be able to omit Islam and started to explore it. Years ago, before he has gone to the other world, Prof. Muhammad Hamidullah has told me that in Paris, 5-10 French people convert Islam per day. It is really exciting to hear that 7 million Muslims live in France right now. If we think of the Europeans who have converted into Islam in England, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium or even Spain, we understand that the reason for the immoral and daring attitude of the European Union administrators as well as the media’s anger towards Islam and the fuss of expelling Muslims from Europe is not only economic.
However, cowards die many times before their deaths. If our Rabb wishes an Islamic change in Europe, no power can prevent it. We have witnessed that even in Russia (1976), Muslims were holding their religion firmly and in 2015, there were hundreds of mosques open to Muslim prayers. Even the persecution of communism was not able to extinguish the light of Islam.
Allah (SWT) blessed us as the grandchildren of our ancestors, who have come to Europe by facing serious challenges and had to return back, and gave us the opportunity to serve Islam in Europe. Today, Europe is waking up to Islam.
Our brothers and sisters, who serve to the path of Allah and Islam, have to fix their mistakes by keeping this advice in their minds. Nothing can escape from the determination. Then, let’s walk on this path with determination. Allah (SWT) will definitely help us. Our aim is not to drag people to false and perverted ways by cruelty and brute force. Our aim is to call people to peace, happiness, brotherhood and justice. It is to make Islamic Tabligh. If we live all these things truly, then, we will be able to make our Tabligh truly.
As the hearts are conquered, the sun of Islam will shine bright lights that will rise in the skies of Europe and then a new era will begin in which the Islamic State and its order will be established.
