The Almighty Allah states in the Holy Quran, “O mankind! Eat of what is lawful and good on the earth” (Al-Baqarah, 168), thereby commanding believers to consume what is both halal and tayyib—that is, clean and healthy. Acting in accordance with this divine command, the Halal & Tayyib Festival will open its doors this year on June 6–7, 2026, at Messe Mannheim. The event takes on an international dimension with the participation of GİMDES, Turkey’s leading halal certification organization.
Halal is not merely a product label; it is a holistic way of life that encompasses every aspect of life from birth to death. Tayyib adds a deeper dimension to this: it signifies what is healthy, clean, harmless, and of high quality. Organized by HALAL LEBENSMITTEL, this festival brings together products and services that meet these two fundamental criteria—Halal and Tayyib—under one roof, spanning a wide range of sectors from food and cosmetics to pharmaceuticals and the service industry. Producers, wholesalers, civil society organizations, and individual visitors will come together on a common ground centered on faith, health, and sustainability.
Considering that 70 million Muslims live in Europe, the contribution of such platforms to strengthening Islamic awareness on the continent is of great importance. GİMDES, which has issued Halal and Tayyib certifications to over 980 brands and more than 30,000 products, will use its presence in Mannheim to directly introduce European Muslims to a reliable and trustworthy certification approach. Over the course of two days, visitors will be able to take advantage of halal product presentations and tastings, as well as expert conferences, panel discussions, and networking opportunities.
The festival is open to everyone—from families to merchants, and from the young to the elderly—and is reported to be open to all who wish to build a halal lifestyle.
