With our most sincere feelings, we wish the day of Ashura (which is the beginning of new beauties and happiness) to be an instrumental day of material and spiritual purification for Muslims, salvation of the whole Islamic World and humanity as well as reaching the climate of love, peace and tranquility.
The month of Muharram and the day of Ashura have an important place in our history of belief. 10 Muharram, the day of Ashura; it is a holy day in the history of religions. According to various sources, very important and affirmative events occurred in the lives of many prophets (as) on the day of Ashura. On this day, our Prophets (as) and those who believed in them got rid of great troubles, oppressions and persecutions. They attained new and beautiful beginnings and great divine grace.
Let’s act according to the Hadith-i Sharifs and make the most use of this day for our ibadah and collaboration. Let’s pay attention to our Fard and Nafilah prayers. Let’s fast. Let’s reflect the beauty of these days to our surroundings in every way. Let’s visit our friends, neighbors, and mosques, graves of our elders, parents and relatives. Let’s make plenty of Ashura sweets, which our ancestors inherited to us, and offer them to our friends and neighbors. Let’s develop our bonds of love and friendship. Let’s look for ways to do good to everyone without discrimination, to be useful and to develop good morals. Let’s not forget to do good deeds, to pray and to help the poor. Let’s give sadaqa. Let’s make dua to each other.
Let’s not neglect our spouse and children. Let’s obey the Sunnah of the Prophet (SAW) and buy them nice gifts and please their hearts. According to the Prophet, these gifts help our home to be fertile and our happiness to increase. It is the blessing of our home all the year.
Let’s make dua to our Rabb to salve us from these dark days, which black clouds wait on the skies of Muslims, persecutors dump on our oppressed societies tons of bombs without discriminating children, women or elderly, as well as removing the coronavirus, which we see as a great calamity sent by our Rabb. Let’s extend our material and spiritual help as much as our strength can. Let’s remind and advise each other to benefit from the day of Ashura, which is the beginning of many beauties and salvations, sweet and happy days, in accordance with its original spirit, to improve our morality, to develop our love and friendship bonds, to strictly adhere to the orders of our Almighty Lord and the Sunnah of our Prophet (SAW) throughout our life.
Above all, let’s aim to reach the consciousness of the HOLY HIJRAH, which has gave the name Hijri Year. Let’s struggle to make our own hijrah to reach religious and healthy lifestyle while purifying ourselves from all the evils brought by the unhealthy and immoral lifestyle imposed by the cultural bombardment of internal and external imperial powers.
